What Reviewers Said
This charming short story features a main character from the author's Witches of Galdorheim series. What I enjoyed most was that the main character is a boy who is "different" (half-vampire, half-witch) and searching for his own unique identity. That's a lot for a short story to carry off, and Spellslinger does it very well indeed. - Conda V. Douglas, Author
I enjoyed this story and especially liked the skillful way in which the author gets into the thoughts and feelings of a small boy as he actually conjures up an imaginary world. A good introduction to the series. - Renee Duke, Author
This short story is a prequel to the Witches of Galdorheim series. Rune is the half-vampire brother of Kat, this is his story of when he is first developing his magic. An imaginative little adventure. It also includes excerpts from the first three stories of the series. - Cathy, Amazon Reviewer
SPELLSLINGER - A Witches of Galdorheim Short StoryThis prequel story to the Witches of Galdorheim series gives the reader a chance to get to know the smart-aleck kid, Rune, before he got his magic down pat.
What does a teenage half-warlock, half-vampire do to have fun? Why build an old west town on a glacier in the Arctic? There he can play at being the good-guy sheriff up against mean old Black Bart.
That things will go horribly wrong is a given. But how does Rune get into and out of the predicament?
This prequel story to the Witches of Galdorheim series gives the reader a chance to get to know the smart-aleck kid, Rune, before he got his magic down pat.
