A Trip to the Graveyard

This story was my response to a prompt to write about Potter's Field. If you don't know, Potter's Field is the graveyard for unclaimed or indigent people who died with nobody to mourn their passing. It was good enough to end up in Lorelei Signals ezine and one of the Best of... anthologies published annually. I miss Carol Hightshoe's publications. The fabulous illustration for this story is by Lee Kuruganti.
